← LearnWhat is the Entry Signal?
The Entry Signal is Whystock's answer to "Should I buy now?" It combines three technical indicators to give you a clear recommendation: Strong Entry, Opportunistic Entry, Neutral, Caution, or High Risk.
How It Works
- RSI (14-day): Below 30 = oversold (bullish), above 70 = overbought (bearish).
- 50-day and 200-day SMAs: Price above both = uptrend; below both = downtrend.
- MACD: MACD above signal line = bullish momentum; below = bearish.
We score these factors and map them to a recommendation. For example, RSI oversold + price above 200-day MA + MACD bullish typically yields a Strong Entry signal.
Signal Levels
- Strong Entry: Multiple bullish indicators aligned.
- Opportunistic Entry: More positive than negative signals.
- Neutral — Hold: Mixed or balanced signals.
- Caution — Wait: More bearish signals.
- High Risk — Avoid: Multiple bearish indicators.
