Trust Stamp Inc (NASDAQ:IDAI, ISE:AIID) has strengthened its position in the European technology ecosystem after being selected as a direct participant in the European Union's Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) semiconductor initiative, a programme designed to develop an...
Trust Stamp Executive Director and Project Lead Berta Pappenheim joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company's selection as a direct participant in the Important Project of Common European Interest on Advanced Semiconductor Technologies (IPCEI AST), supported by Malta Enterprise. Pappenheim said the IPCEI AST is a major European initiative designed to strengthen the continent's sovereignty, security, and resilience across the advanced semiconductor value chain. The program brings together industry leaders and research organizations to accelerate the development and commercialization of next-generation chip technologies. Funding for the initiative is still being finalized, following the success of the earlier IPCEI ME/CT program, which mobilized up to β¬8.1 billion in public investment across 14 EU member states. Trust Stamp will contribute through two key collaborative projects. The first focuses on developing a secure semiconductor identity platform that links verified human identities with hardware-based device authentication using technologies such as physically unclonable functions (PUFs) and Trust Stamp's biometric tokenization. The platform is designed to help prevent unauthorized access to critical communications, IoT, and safety-critical systems. The second collaboration will explore AI-assisted processing of neural signals generated by an emerging biosignal chip platform, while integrating secure hardware authentication to protect sensitive data and strengthen device security. Pappenheim said the company's participation has been made possible through the support of Malta Enterprise, which is helping position Malta and its technology sector within Europe's strategic semiconductor ecosystem while fostering collaboration between industry and academic partners. Management believes the project strengthens Trust Stamp's position at the intersection of advanced semiconductors, artificial intelligence, secure digital identity, and biometric security, supporting the development of next-generation trusted technology solutions. #proactiveinvestors #truststamp #nasdaq #idai #IdentityTech #Semiconductors #ArtificialIntelligence #Cybersecurity #DigitalIdentity #Biometrics #EuropeanUnion #IPCEI #Innovation #Technology
